This year’s festival includes the BBBQ Omnium Race Weekend: time trial, criterium, and road race with $24,000 in cash prizes, primes and merchandise!
Race number pick up for TT and Omnium is Friday, July 6th from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
Number Pickup only at Lions Field Saturday @ 7:00 AM.
The racing action kicks off on Saturday, July 7th with the time trial in the morning followed by a fast-paced and technical criterium, a favorite for racers and spectators alike.
Racing continues on Sunday, July 8th, with the road race. Starting from Tourist Park in Clear Lake, road races of 85, 51-miles are on tap, taking in the greater North Iowa countryside.
LOOK Neutral Race Support will be providing neutral wheel support for the criterium and the men’s Pro-1-2 Road Race. Finish line service will be provided by TenSpeed Event Service. Calling the races will be John Lefler, Jr. and Kenny Labbé will be calling the action for the Criterium.

FREE KIDS Race
The BBBQ Festival is proud announcing FREE kids races for children 9 years of age and under.
Kids race starts at 2:30 pm on Saturday, July 8. Parents, please have your child registered 30 minutes prior to the event.
Two- or three-wheeled competitors, ages 6-9, will race for one lap around the criterium course, while younger, under 6, riders will race one block along City Park, with everyone getting the opportunity to race across the same finish line used by the criterium riders. Everyone wins a medal!
Junior racers age 9-18 are encouraged to enter the competitive weekend of racing. Registration fees do apply for these races.
Registration is required. Registration is available in City Park across from GeJo’s -Friday night (6:00-9:00 PM) and Saturday (11:00 AM-2:00 PM) Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
